Empowering Grassroots Healthcare | The 8th Training Course on Ultrasound-Guided Integrated Pain Rehabilitation Techniques Held in Shaoxing
To further elevate the standard of integrated pain rehabilitation diagnosis and treatment at the grassroots level and promote the standardized application of ultrasound-guided precision interventional techniques in clinical practice, the 8th Grassroots Integrated Pain Rehabilitation Diagnosis & Treatment Skills Improvement Training – Ultrasound-Guided Visualized Precision Interventional Therapy was successfully held on December 20–21 at the Jinghu Branch of Shaoxing People's Hospital.
The training was hosted by the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, co-organized by the Pain Medicine Committee of the China Medical Education Association, and jointly organized by Peking University Third Hospital, The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and Shaoxing People's Hospital. More than 200 grassroots medical professionals specializing in pain medicine and rehabilitation medicine from across the country gathered in Shaoxing for systematic learning and exchanges on cutting-edge ultrasound-guided pain diagnosis and treatment techniques. Professor Feng Zhiying, Chairwoman of the Pain Society of the Zhejiang Medical Association and Director of the Pain Department at The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, delivered the opening address.
The training curriculum was closely tailored to grassroots clinical needs, covering a wide range of key topics: ultrasound-guided interventional therapy techniques, diagnosis and treatment of common chronic pain conditions, standardized medication for chronic pain, radiofrequency and neuromodulation techniques, as well as mainstream rehabilitation training and physical therapy methods. Leading frontline experts in pain rehabilitation from prestigious institutions including The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, The Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University and Henan Provincial People's Hospital systematically shared their clinical experience and practical insights.

During the session, multiple experts conducted live lectures and hands-on procedure demonstrations using Hisense AISENSE portable ultrasound systems. Focusing on ultrasound-guided thoracic paravertebral nerve blocks, cervical spine interventions, lumbosacral region treatment techniques and their clinical applications, they visually demonstrated ultrasound image recognition and guided interventional procedures. Featuring clear, stable imaging and a lightweight, intelligent design, the Hisense devices delivered strong technical support for ultrasound-guided precision interventions, enabling more intuitive and effective hands-on training for grassroots clinical applications.
In the follow-up simulated practical assessment, participants took turns using the Hisense AISENSE portable ultrasound to complete standardized operational drills. By simulating real clinical scenarios, the session comprehensively evaluated participants’ learning outcomes. Trainees widely commented that the combination of expert demonstrations and hands-on practice had given them a more intuitive grasp of ultrasound-guided pain interventional therapy, providing valuable guidance for their future diagnosis and treatment work at the grassroots level.
Training drives improvement, technology strengthens grassroots capabilities. This training course built a high-quality platform for learning and exchange for grassroots physicians, and laid a solid foundation for the standardized application and promotion of ultrasound-guided integrated pain rehabilitation diagnosis and treatment techniques at the primary care level.
